Sophia Powers hails from North Vancouver, BC. This brilliant Canadian actress had designs on acting from an early age. At 8, she made it known that this was a path she wanted to take. Soon after, Sophia booked her first role as ‘Chloe’ on the short film ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’ followed bya trailer for ‘The Magnificent Truffle Pigs’ – a live-action video game. Sophia was off and running.At just 9, Sophia began acting classes and continued to hone her craft. Her training and passion served her well. She’s riding a wave of success – currently starring as ‘Fox’ alongside Malcom McDowell, Mark Critch and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth on Canada's hit comedy 'Son of a Critch'  - airing on CBC in Canada and The CW in the U.S.Created by Mark Critch and Tim McAuliffe,The series is filmed on location in St. John's, New Foundland, Canada, a huge opportunity for Sophia.

Catch Sophia in Hallmark movies -  playing  ‘Kira Allen’ ‘Fourth Down and Love’ and ‘Toni’ in ‘Unexpected Grace.’ 

During her downtime, Sophia stays busy with a multitude of interests. A lover of music, she is teaching herself guitar. Her musical choices are eclectic. Some of her favorite bands are Boygenius, Fleetwood Mac, Pheobe Bridgers and Arctic Monkeys.  She also loves Daisy Jones and the Six, both the series and music. Her favorite sitcoms are The Office, (American version) How I Met your Mother, Modern Family and Life in Pieces and is obsessed with ‘The Last of  Us’ – both the series and game. Sophia also enjoys listening to podcasts, ‘Morbid’ and ‘True Crime’ and enjoys boxing. Sophia is quite content spending time with her family and friends in BC and spoiling her puppy, Mazie aka Crazy Mazie!
